For pple who dont noe, this is the deactivated version of the Aile-Strike gundam from the anime Gundam Seed. (Its colours are greyed out, and I textured it as a deactivated version, coz i like the colour better... haha...) Pple who have not watched the anime... Watch it! If not for the mobile suits, then at least for the story! (veri nice and touchin story) The whole process took bout 30 hours, with modelling alone takin bout 14+ hours... yar... This was my first time modelling a mobile suit, and it was a great learning experience, coz i had to really think through wat details to model in and out for it... the model was based on a toy model i have at home, and textured usin photos taken. So far, the model weights in at 832 polys... right now, im too lazy to add in other stuff, so might do that next time... lol
Btw, for pple who feels that certain parts of the MS does not coincide with the one in the cartoon, pardon me, coz for some reason, the sizes of the parts on the MS are at some points diff from one another when u compare the diff scales (1/144, 1/100, 1/60) of the toy models... compare them to that in the cartoon, and they look slightly diff too...
oh wow this is really amazing! you really put in your time and effort into it with the detail. I haven't seen the anime but I only know about it because my anime freak friend keeps tellin me about it. lol Well lookin it over a couple of times, I'd say there is no error that catches my eyes. well the on the bottom picture, the bottom side of it looks a little mushed. I'm not really sure if its supposed to look like that but thats the one tiny thing that's kinda buggin me. other than that it is an awsome model that you have clearly worked hard on. great job! ^_^
